A Holiday Play List

With a pardon for preempting Thanksgiving, here's a summary of holiday-related theater events throughout the Sacramento area. There's a seemingly endless variety of time and date options, so please check the Web sites carefully and make phone calls as necessary. Listed as they are opening (or as they opened) are: Nov. 8-13: "The Seafarer," a B Street Theatre B3 production, located in the smaller of the two theaters at 2711 B St., Sacramento. $22-$30. Nov. 14-Dec. 21: "'Tis the Season-A Holiday Celebration," a musical presentation of singing, dancing, comedy and a light show, at Garbeau's, 12401 Folsom Blvd., Rancho Cordova. $17-25. Entrees available at an additional cost. Nov. 20-Dec. 28: "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!" at Capital Stage, aboard the Riverboat Delta King in Old Sacramento. $13-$30. Nov. 21-Dec. 28: "Holiday in the Hills" at Stage Nine Theatre, 717 Sutter St., Historic Folsom. This is an annual event of songs, dances and skits featuring "real" people who lived in or visited Folsom in the 1800s. If you're booked for 2008, the 2009 dates are Nov. 20-Dec. 22. $22, general admission. Nov. 22-Jan. 4: "A Christmas Carol," of the B Street Theatre Family Series, which is located in the smaller of the two theaters at 2711 B St., Sacramento. $18, children. $25, adults. Dec. 6-30: "A Winnie-the-pooh Christmas Tail," presented by the Young People's Theatre of Folsom at Stage Nine Theatre, 717 Sutter St., Historic Folsom. $15, general. $12, children 12 and under. Dec. 6-20: "Reindeer Revolution" at Chautauqua Playhouse, 5325 Engle Road in the La Sierra Community Center, Carmichael. $17, general. $7, children. Dec. 10-24: "The Pastorela," performed by STC2-Young Professionals Conservatory at Sacramento Theatre Company, 1419 H St., Sacramento. $15-$20. Dec. 12-28: "The Runaway Presents" and "Christmas Bouquet" at Thistle Dew Dessert Theatre, 1901 P St., Sacramento. $20 includes dessert, coffee and tea. Are there more plays to add to my list?
